No charge reservations are accepted, but reservations with a deposit are filled first. If you would like to confirm a reservation from a specific doe, we require a $25 deposit. If the kid of your reserved gender is not born, you may apply your deposit to another available kid or have your deposit refunded. Deposits to hold kids that are already born are 50% of the designated purchase price. If you change your mind about purchasing your reserved kid, your deposit is not refundable. Interstate Acres reserves the right to retain any kid born from our herd up until the sale is completed. If that happens, you can choose to have your deposit refunded or applied to another available kid.
General Kid Care:
The kids will be dam raised unless a need arises where we have to bottle feed. We feel that is the best for our kids to grow. Kids will be herbally dewormed, vaccinated, disbudded and tattooed before leaving for their new homes at weaning, at 8-10 weeks of age. Any bottle kids can go to new home after 1 week once they are used to being bottle fed. Kids going to new goat owner homes will be sent with a “kid supply kit.”
All animals are sold as healthy at the time they leave the farm. Any costs associated with shipping or transportation, including any health certificates, testing, crates, etc., are the responsibility of the buyer. Once they leave the homestead, there are no other guarantees to the future health, height, or quality of the animal.
All animals must be paid in full before leaving the farm.
